The past few months have been filled with album after album of new releases from our favourite artists of different genres. Paramore and All Time Low added new sides of their sound, while Harry Styles released his debut album. However, there was an album that the world was anticipating – Melodrama, marking the return of Lorde.

After “Royals” took the airwaves by storm in 2013 with its cool vibes and clever lyrics, people wanted more. Her debut album Pure Heroine was released in September of the same year, and since then, fans have been waiting for a follow up. Melodrama still delivered with the voice audiences craved but singing different tunes. Pure Heroine had a bit of a darker feel, whereas Melodrama brings some upbeat, catchier songs such as “Green Light” and Perfect Places”.
