American radio personality Angela Yee is best known as the host of the nationally syndicated morning show, The Breakfast Club, alongside Charlamagne Tha God and DJ Envy. The show will air on New York City’s Power 105.1 channel between 6 a.m. and 10 a.m.

Angela Mae Yee was born on January 3, 1976 in Brooklyn, New York, United States, to Mary Yee, an African-American mother, and Celestina Farage-Yee, a Chinese father. During her appearance on television, The Real, Yee revealed that her parents divorced while she was in college. However, she said she had no idea as they continued to live together.
After graduating from high school, Angela in 1991 enrolled at Wesleyan University where she studied English in hopes of becoming a writer. However, after graduating, she discovered a new interest in the music industry and marketing. Angela interned at Wu-Tang Management, where she worked as an assistant to the CEO.
She showed off her musical skills by writing all the sketches for Clam member Wu-Tang’s third solo studio album, GZA. The album topped the Top US R&B/Hip-Hop Albums and peaked at No. 9 on the Billboard 200.

Angela also managed JayElectronica’s career and helped facilitate his deal with Jay-Z’s record label, Roc Nation. Her management skills won her accolades when she led the career of Australian hip-hop recording artist Matthew James Colwell, better known by his stage name 360.
Angela worked for Shady Limited, a clothing company owned by Eminem and Paul Rosenberg.
She got her start in radio when she landed a job on Eminem’s radio station, Shade 45, on Sirius satellite radio, where she hosted Lip Service and The Morning After with Angela Yee. The latter was previously called The Cipha Sounds Effect, but the name was changed in 2008 when Cipha left the station.
Also in 2008, Angela worked for Ripe Digital.Animation as a television personality for flow.tv, host of the daily entertainment show Angela Yee Rumor Report. She held the position for only 6 months, from July to December 2008.
Two years after leaving Ripe Digital, Angela left Shade 45 and became the host of Breakfast Club in December 2010 on Power 105.1. The show features Angela’s candid thoughts as she coaches the celebrities. On television, Angela served as a correspondent for MTV2’s Sucker Free. She was a cast member on the VH1 reality show The Gossip Game, which chronicles the lives of New York women in the radio and blogging industry. The show ended after one season and 8 episodes.
Angela has also starred in two films, including Empire (2015) and Fight Your Way Out (2017).

Yee keeps a low profile when it comes to her personal life, however, she has been linked to a celebrity couple. She was rumored to be dating rapper Plies after they attended joint events, including Yee’s birthday where Plies was the host.

Neither Angela nor Plies have confirmed the relationship rumors.
During Gucci Mane’s visit to club Breakfast in 2016, the rapper hinted that Angela once flirted with him.
When fellow radio show hosts Charlamgne and DJ Envy asked Gucci if he had ever slept with Angela, he said; “She tried. She was on my dick at the time. Yee, on the other hand, outright denied saying no such incident ever happened, but Gucci kept pushing, telling Yee; “You used to text me ‘What hotel did you have? “And that kind of stuff,” Yee replied, however, telling her, “You must be confusing me with someone else. It definitely wasn’t me. I wouldn’t do that.”
Charlamagne did not support his co-host as he told Yee; “I never knew Gucci was a liar.”
As of this writing, Angela Yee is an unmarried woman and it is unclear whether or not she is in a relationship.
