Mary Sample Obituary, Death – Mary Sample, a much-loved wife, mother, and grandmother, embarked on the adventure that would become her life on February 15, 1952, in Crawford, Nebraska. Randy E. Sample became her life partner, and their wedding ceremony took place on August 30, 1970, at the Crawford United Methodist Church. They built a life together full of memorable events and shared a true affection for one another.

Mary left a legacy marked by love, family, and the connections she formed with those in her environment. Her devoted daughter DeEtte, her husband Dan Walters, and her cherished grandsons Cole and Elijah Walters, all of whom live in Hemingford, survive her. Her spouse, Dan Walters, also survives her. Her children and grandkids were the most important things in her life, and she took the role of mother and Nana very seriously.

Her surviving sisters are Willetta Hamar of Crawford, Betty Calder of Lincoln, and Danniece Stull of Morrill, Nebraska. She abandons her sisters. Her extended family includes her brother-in-law Bernadene Halle of Cheyenne, Wyoming, her sister-in-law Jean Riggs of Kearney, and the following brothers and sisters-in-law: Connie (Rich) Stricker of Hemingford, Rick (Jean) Sample of Crawford, Rhonda (Dave) Swanson of Hemingford, and Tammy (Gary) Griffee of Alliance.

Mary also had a great number of nieces and nephews, each of whom held a special and significant place in her heart. Mary’s love and happiness for everyone around her was a defining aspect of her life. She cherished her relationships with her dear friends Georgia Ring of Minatare and Norman Ring of Minatare. They shared moments that will endure the test of time as a testament to the value of genuine friendship.
