After the Paris honeymoon between Ben Affleck and Jennifer Lopez, there were memes trolling the actor about constantly being tired. His face of exhaustion was the center of attention from paparazzi and social media users alike. But the online chatter started veering towards a very serious topic that is getting picked up by serious gossip publications such as Glamour or Chic Magazine.

Twitter users quickly started to point out at the evident past from Affleck and the mysterious reason he is taking some time apart from Lopez. Initial reports are stating that their busy schedules are the reason but this theory has been talked about for weeks and it is starting to make a lot of sense. It is very likely that Lopez asked Affleck to seek professional help with his alcohol abuse.

Affleck already blamed Jennifer Garner for his addiction.

In one of his most controversial statements to date, Ben Affleck did directly blame ex-wife Jennifer Garner for his alcohol abuse. During an interview with Howard Stern, this is what Affleck said: "I'd probably still be drinking. It's part of why I started drinking ... because I was trapped. I was like 'I can't leave 'cause of my kids, but I'm not happy, what do I do?' What I did was drink a bottle of Scotch and fall asleep on the couch, which turned out not to be the solution.

"The truth was, we took our time, we made the decision ... We grew apart. We had a marriage that didn't work, this happens, with somebody that I love and respect, but to whom I shouldn't be married any longer. Ultimately, we tried. We tried, we tried because we had kids. Both of us felt like we don't want this to be the model that our kids see of marriage."

But Ben Affleck's problems with alcohol pre-date his relationship with Jennifer Garner. In fact, they even pre-date dating Jennifer Lopez as he was admitted to an institution way back in 2001. He was admitted twice more during his marriage with Jennifer Garner. Once in 2017 and another time in 2018.

Whether this theory is true or not, the proof and signs are all there. No statements about this have been made by either Lopez or Affleck, we'll be waiting for the other show to drop.
